Location



Guatemala, the most populated country in Central America, is located in Mexico, North America. It is on the border of the North Pacific Ocean. It's neighbors are Mexico, on the North West of it, Belize, Honduras and El Salvador on the East of it.
Guatemala is made up of three major regions, the cool highlands, which has the heaviest population, the tropical area, along the Pacific and Caribbean coasts, and the tropical jungle in the northern lowlands.
The area of Guatemala is 180, 890 square kilometers. It is a bit smaller than the state of Tennessee.
Guatemala is mostly mountainous, except for the north vast lowlands and the south coastal area.
The highest point in Guatemala is the Volcano Tajumulco at 4,211 meters. The lowest point in Guatemala is the Pacific Ocean at 0 meters.
